The flapper on the 1200 seals the gap between the two lower doors. Without it, the fridge will still run, but warm air leaks in where the doors meet, so expect more frost, condensation, and a harder time holding temperature, especially in hot weather. The 623887 flapper has been discontinued by Norcold.
As a temporary fix, some owners close off the gap with a strip of soft foam weatherstripping on the edge of the door where the flapper was, so the two doors seal against it. Keep the fridge on the colder setting and avoid opening it more than you need to. You can check our 1200/ 1210 doors and hardware page in case another option opens up.
