The DC558 is a 12V compressor fridge, and it uses R134a refrigerant in a sealed system. If the compressor and fan are both running but you're getting no cooling, the most common causes are a refrigerant leak or a compressor that's running but not pumping, and both call for a refrigeration tech with the right equipment. The DC558 has been discontinued. If the repair doesn't make sense, we can help you find a replacement for that opening, and our DC558/ DE558 parts page lists what's still available.
