Hi Chris! Forty ohms is in the normal range for the 900/ 9000 AC heater, so the heater itself sounds OK. If all the lights flash as soon as you switch to AC and it runs fine on LP, check the AC fuse on the power board and make sure you have a solid 120V at the outlet behind the fridge. If both check out, the AC side of the board has most likely failed. The Dinosaur N991 board is the replacement for the 900/ 9000 series and it's in stock.
