Good troubleshooting. If the fridge cools but the eyebrow is dark and you only have 8.4V on the supply wire to the optical board, check the 12V DC input to the power board first. If the input is low, the problem is upstream (batteries, converter, fuse or wiring). If you have a solid 12V or more going in but only 8.4V coming out to the eyebrow, the power board is the likely problem, and the 639593/ 50861 replaces the 638189. A bad eyebrow can also drag the voltage down, so unplug it and measure again. If the voltage comes up, the 639550 optical board is the one for the N8XF.
