It could be either. If the display won't come on, first confirm 12V DC is reaching the power board, then check the fuse on the board and the ribbon cable between the power board and the display. If the board has 12V but isn't sending power to the display, the power board is the likely cause. If power is reaching the display and it still won't light, it's the optical board. The 637779 board kit for older N621s has been discontinued. For newer serial numbers, the power board is the 628661/ 50723. Send us your serial number.
