On the N8DC/ N10DC, the thermistor sits behind a small cover inside the compartment, usually held on with a xxxx or clips. Remove the cover, unclip the old thermistor, follow its wire to the connector, and swap in the new 640149/ 50888, which comes with a new cover. Disconnect power first.
