To reset the DC558, turn it off and disconnect its 12V power for a few minutes, then reconnect and turn it back on. These compressors shut down on low voltage, so check that you have a solid 12V at the fridge with it running. If it still won't start, it may need a refrigeration tech, and since the DC558 has been discontinued, we can help you look at replacement options.
