If the compressor isn't starting, it's usually the Control Module 640178 (the module mounted on the compressor). Before buying parts, check these:
1. Voltage at the module while it's trying to run. The N8DC needs a solid 12V DC. Low voltage or a weak connection will stop the compressor even though the lights come on. 2. The module's LED. Many modules flash an error code. Count the flashes; it tells you if it's low voltage, a fan problem, or a stalled compressor. 3. The thermistor. If the thermistor 640149 is bad, the board never calls for cooling.
