Nice troubleshooting. Your thermistor readings look normal, and it's switching modes correctly. The pattern (cold for a few days, then warm) points to either the heat source dropping out or a cooling unit that's starting to fail. When it stops cooling, check two things:
1. Is the boiler area at the back hot? On electric, check that the AC heater 638374 is drawing current. If it's cold, the problem is on the heat side (element, board, or connections). Also try it on propane when this happens. 2. If the boiler is hot and it still isn't cooling, the cooling unit is the likely cause. Check for yellow residue or an ammonia smell. We carry the Norcold Cooling Unit 693299 for the N8.
