The Thermal/Limit Switch 2M0802 mounts on the cooling unit's boiler, under the insulation at the back of the fridge. To install it: turn off all power and the propane, then open the insulation pack around the boiler. Unclip the old switch from its bracket against the boiler tube and unplug its two wires. Clip the new one in the same spot with good metal-to-metal contact, reconnect the wires, and close the insulation back up. Remember that this switch trips when the boiler overheats, which is often a sign the cooling unit is failing. See our 6 flashes / fire hazard article and our thermal safety switch article.
The 2M0802 has been discontinued by Norcold, so it's only available while our remaining stock lasts. The N6/N8/N1095 fridges are discontinued too. Norcold's replacement is the N7X for the 6 cu ft models and the N8X for the 8 cu ft models and N1095. See our Norcold replacement guide.
