A "thump" followed by a blown 8 amp fuse and a "no AC" warning usually means something on the AC side shorted. The first thing to check is the AC heating element. With the power off, test it with an ohmmeter. A dead short (near 0 ohms) or a reading to ground means it's bad. On the 1210IM, also check the ice maker and its water valve, since they're on the AC side too. The 1210 elements are the AC Heating Element 630807/638372 and the 618872.
