I can't give you a detailed comparison of the cooling units. The 2117 and 2118 are closely related models, but Norcold doesn't publish a detailed comparison of their cooling units. We carry the brand-new Nordic Cooling Unit 6618 for the 2118. See our 2117/2118 parts page. Both fridges are discontinued, and Norcold's replacement is the Norcold N20DCSS.
