On the N8DC, a fridge that won't get below 40 degrees on setting 3 is usually an airflow or thermistor issue, not a failed compressor. Don't pack food against the back wall or air vents, give it 24 hours to pull down after loading, and try a colder setting. If it still runs warm, test the thermistor 640149. See our N8DC/N10DC article and not cooling guide. Since your Airstream is new, contact your dealer too. It should be under warranty.
