If it works on shore power but not on battery, the problem is on the DC side. Check the 12V DC voltage at the fridge while it tries to start. Low voltage from a weak battery, long thin wires or corroded connections is the most common cause. Also check the DC fuse or breaker. If you have a solid 12V+ and it still won't run, the DC power supply board is likely bad. The DC Power Supply Board 163010730 fits many DE/DC models, but it has been discontinued by Norcold. If your DE251 is ready for replacement, our Norcold replacement guide lists Norcold's current DC models.
