Heavy frost that builds up right after defrosting almost always means warm, moist air is getting in, usually at a door seal. Check both door gaskets with the dollar bill test, make sure the doors close fully, and check the door alignment and hinges. The Norcold DC558 has been discontinued by Norcold.
