If the freezer does OK but the fridge doesn't cool on gas, check that the fridge is level while running. Then check the gas heat: clean the burner and orifice, clean the flue, make sure the baffle is in place, and check the LP pressure (about 11 inches water column). Also check the thermistor position. If it's the same on electric, the cooling unit may be getting weak. See our freezer cold but fridge warm guide.
