If the burner lights and runs about 10 seconds with a good flame, then shuts off with a click from the board, the board isn't sensing the flame. On the N821, flame sensing is done by the thermocouple and board circuit. Check the thermocouple connection at the board and make sure its tip sits in the hottest part of the flame. If those are good, the board is the likely cause. The Board Kit 637779 includes the updated optical board, but it has been discontinued by Norcold, so it's only available while our remaining stock lasts. The in-stock 628661 and Dinosaur 6212XX are alternatives. The N821 is discontinued, and Norcold's replacement is the Norcold N8X. See our Norcold replacement guide.
