If the freezer on a 1210IM won't keep ice cream hard, I'd check these:
- Door seals. Do the dollar bill test all the way around the freezer doors. - Venting. Make sure the roof and side vents are clear and that the fan (if you have one) is running on hot days. - Level. Absorption fridges lose efficiency when they're out of level. - Thermostat setting and thermistor position on the fins.
If all of that's good and it keeps getting worse, the cooling unit may be weakening. The 1210 is discontinued, and the Norcold N15DCSS is the replacement with the same box dimensions.
