First, try a hard reset. Turn off the 12V to the fridge (pull the fuse or use the battery disconnect) for a couple of minutes, then restore it. Low 12V can also cause this, so check that you have a solid 12V at the fridge. If the red light keeps flashing and the buttons stay locked out, the optical board is next. For the N8XF, that's the 639550 optical display board, and it's in stock.
