Yes, as a temporary fix. Jumping the thermostat wires (a fused jumper is a good idea) just makes the fan run all the time on 12V, which won't hurt anything. Keep an eye on your battery if you're not plugged in. The 618093 has been replaced by the 640235 DC thermostat.
