Blinking temp and mode displays after a board and thermistor swap usually point back to the thermistor circuit. On the N510, the right thermistor depends on the serial number. Above 9140558, it's the 628760. Below that, it's the 621785. The wrong one, or a weak splice, will keep it flashing. Make sure the splice is soldered and sealed, and that the thermistor is clipped to the fins.
