If it cools fine on AC but not on propane even with a clean flame, the heat isn't getting into the boiler well. Here's what to check:
- The flue baffle (the twisted metal strip inside the flue tube above the burner). If it's missing, sooty or sitting too high, the heat goes straight up the flue. - The flue tube itself for rust scale or debris. - LP pressure. Low pressure gives a nice-looking but weak flame. - The orifice. Make sure it's the correct one and clean.
The 636868 burner assembly fits the N3150, but it's discontinued with limited stock.
