I can't confirm it's OK to run the new heater in the second pocket, so I don't want to steer you wrong on that. For stuck heaters, soaking the pocket with penetrating oil and twisting the heater while pulling usually frees it. Which heater you need depends on the cooling unit's serial number: below 11231023 it's the 621702, and above that it's the 638374.
