After storage, check the 12V first. A weak battery or corroded connection causes all kinds of odd behavior on these. If the 12V is solid and it still won't respond, the buttons on the optical board are likely stuck. For N512.3s with a serial above 9140559, it's the 628663 optical board. Below that, it's the 633291 kit (discontinued).
