On the N841, the interior light and thermistor get their power through the front (optical) board and the ribbon cable, not directly from the power board. With the new power board in, check that the ribbon cable is seated and not damaged, and that 12V is getting to the optical board. If it is and nothing works, the optical board is the problem. For N841s above serial 9044284, that's the 628976/637780, which is discontinued.
