Good questions. This Norcold N4150 has been performing really well. Gas absorption/ RV refrigerators that typically struggle in high temperatures are the larger 4 door models that require perfect ventilation for proper cooling. Keep in mind that all gas absorption model refrigerators will struggle in extreme temperatures in the triple digits. It's also good to keep in mind that while running on LP, you should be below 5000 in elevation so that the flame is strong enough to boil the ammonia.
The Dometic RML8555 is a discontinued unit and is also quite a bit bigger. Overall, we'd recommend the Norcold N4150 over that model.
